Positive Intelligence (PQ) What is it? How can it help you?

In the Positive Intelligence (PQ) programme we learn how to recognise when we are influenced by our negative self speak. This is the voice which is responsible for holding us back, telling us we are not worthy and will fail.

We all have a Judge Saboteur who judges ourselves, others, and judges circumstances we find ourselves in.

The Judge works with 9 accomplice saboteurs - these are the habits we have formed since childhood which turn us into a Pleaser, Controller, Stickler, an Avoider or Hyper-Achiever. There are more... nine in all. And they are all based on the qualities we possess. The qualities are great - but our saboteurs use our strengths against us.

In the PQ foundational training, we learn to recognise these behaviours; and we build simple techniques for strengthening the more "sage" voice, which comes from a place of quiet wisdom. It’s an impactful framework, and is based on the neuroscience of behaviour change.

Benefits of the PQ programme are:

• Increased sense of wellbeing

• Improved relationships

• High productivity

Positive Intelligence (PQ):
The Before & After Experience

Before…

Before the PQ+ AYM Wellbeing course I often felt slightly trapped, I would focus on negative aspects of my situation, dwelling on where I might have gone wrong or could have done better. I felt that I had limited choices. I would think about how people view me and where I stand in the world. I would spend hours imagining different ways to instigate an immediate change to circumstances, but then come up with reasons to not follow them through.

I would feel irritated with my partner if I thought his actions or choices weren’t conducive to my idea of where we are heading and at what pace.

I would feel anxious about a lack of time and in a hurry to have free time, I would feel grumpy if things got in my way of this free time. I would feel panicked in my free time because of this idea that I had so little time and in the end not relax at all. I was feeling like I couldn’t afford the time to see friends and family and get annoyed at suggestions to meet up. I felt exhausted by other people’s energies and from seeing and speaking with people. I felt a need to be alone and in nature.

After

During and since doing the PQ+ AYM Wellbeing course, I have noticed an almost immediate feeling of calm come over me, my thought patterns are slower and more considered and lighter.

I feel less irritable and more empathy for others. I also feel like I have more energy for others and I’m not being as impacted as much by my interactions with others.

In my free time, I feel more focused and capable and I have stopped stressing about losing time, so now the time I do have, I choose to use well and in positive frame of mind. This leaves me feeling much more rested for the work week ahead.

I feel altogether more positive about where I am in the world, my prospects and dreams.

I no longer feel panic about ‘progress’ and I feel a self-assured sense that I am in charge of my goals and my direction, at any moment I can make changes as I wish. I have recognised that my choices have brought me where I am today and I can choose to celebrate the gifts I have received through those choices. I am choosing to redefine myself through my sage essence rather than imagining judgement from others and allowing judgement from myself.

I feel like calm and nature is around me at all times, if I choose to listen and be still.
